I think people are affected by the changes to game- not being able to get their xbox points at the till and the news about zero hour contracts for the staff! Just not good at all. I have been a customer with game for about 20 years and the staff know their stuff inside out, always friendly and very helpful. It's a terrible way to treat people- but what's the story for Game? Is it the only way to save the business? Who knows but hopefully if things pick up, they will review the situation.

Soooo, I preordered Space Marine 2 at this store and was told it would be a couple of days late.
I'm not too fussed about something being late as long as I get what I ordered.
What does bother me is that an idiot employee sold My game to the wrong person, don't know how when I've got the order slip but there we go.
After this I was told to try my luck online as it was still available.
So after buying it online I get a little paranoid and double check my order only to find out it was cancelled and my money sent back, not that anyone sent me an email or anything.
I had to email Game and then wait 4 days for a reply.
So that's my story, crap in store and crap online.

Absolutely horrendous service, I bought a console new from them only to find it was faulty was able to be replaced no problem, however the replacement console was also faulty when I brought it in I was told there was nothing they could do about it even when showed their own policy on the official website they refused to help me stating “if we did that people could just get unlimited consoles from us” they were rude and unhelpful telling me I should pursue repairs myself even though it was not only in the 12 month warranty window and part of my statutory rights i asked them what other options I could pursue to get this resolved and if there was anyone else I could talk to I was told “the manager isn’t here, maybe you should get a lawyer and pursue that” I ended up contacting games customer services online where I was told they couldn’t help me as this is a matter that can only be resolved in store and I should go back to them (rather than return to the store I decided just to call as I didn’t want a wasted trip) while on the phone they were rude condescending and refused to even give me the name of who I was talking too (I only asked for first name) anyway I got the faulty console diagnosed independently faulty mother board and faulty fan (this would reflect that console was faulty on purchase and not anything else) I was able to take it to a different game store and have my issue resolved immediately,

This is the short version of the story the level of disrespect and snarky comments goes far beyond anything above this over all staff are poorly trained and there seems to be an underlying issue with management and quality control of products this isn’t the first time I’ve had something faulty purchased from the Livingston store normally it’s resolved with an easy exchange or refund but it’s alarmingly common

Don’t use Game especially when purchasing consoles if your in the centre there is plenty other places you can purchase for the same price if not cheaper where you can know quantity and customer service is assured

Real shame I’ve been shopping there for probably 20 years it’s really went downhill

They Advertise products at different prices to what is scanned at the till. No help or assistance when mistake is brought to their attention, they say there’s nothing they can do regardless is that’s what the label and sticker says on the product. This price was displayed amongst all console types and not just a one off mistake - £29.99 compared to £42 is a big difference.

The staff member who served us today was extremely polite and very friendly.
She took her time to explain things to my nine year old about the games.
A big well done to the young girl with wolverine funko pop on her land yard .

Went to buy a Note phone only 3 members of staff was told to wait on lady manager who was rude, I went away came back and again was told to wait on another staff member to open the glass cabinet again was made to wait the manager didn't trust the young person to have keys to assist me i felt really sorry for the you g lady but the shop and manager she's needing to go as that's several times now the shops service is terrible lady with blonde hair needs retrained in how to deal with customers and how quick we are served
